I finally managed to watch all of Blue Velvet last night. Doing it for research but also, because I think I maybe need to watch more David Lynch. Everybody's always talking about him and whenever they reference scenes from Eraserhead or Inland Empire, I'm like "yeah, totally," but then, I realize, I really have no idea what they are talking about. I don't know why I've waited so long to watch David Lynch. Maybe because so many have been talking about him? I don't know. Also, sometimes, the weird stuff is just too weird for me.
But Blue Velvet was good, I feel. It was weird but then, it also was sort of normal. What I mean is: there was a plot. Stuff happened and stuff was left unexplained but, that's okay with me. I'm glad I watched it.
